An innovative craftsperson who focused first on weaving, then pottery, she will be remembered by many who met her through “Creating Together” and “Mixed Media” (North York YWCA, George Brown College - Toronto), as Program Coordinator (Georgetown Y), and as a devoted volunteer  (Park Public, Stewarttown, and GDH schools as well as the local theatre).  The local arts and crafts community will remember her as a long term active member of the Credit Valley Artisans, a former retail crafts store operator  (The Weaver's House), her time at Oxbow Books and as a founding organizer of “Artists among Us”, a successful, annual, show and sale of local professional level artists and craftspersons.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was immediate and private. There will be a gathering to share memories on Sunday June 30, 2013 in Georgetown, Ontario.   Meanwhile, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or an organization supporting arts, crafts or youth learning, would be welcomed.
